Tuesday
I just put a handful of new weddings images on the wedding slideshow, Check 'em out! We try to update our website every week in order to keep it fresh.
Monday
New Website images
We finally have some images of ourselves on the photographer bio page on our website. Sarah and I had lunch with Meg and Charles Baisden from Meg Baisden photography today and I asked Meg to do a short photo session to get some images on the site other than the one with the paintball wizzing by my head. I have a whole new respect for my clients! It's not easy being on the other end of the lens. Here are the images of us that we posted on the site. Thanks Meg for lending us your skills.
Saturday
SpyCam
I set up a camera in my backyard tonight that senses motion, and triggers the shutter (just testing it). And liitle miss Maddison was my first subject. Notice how terrible the image is! This is what happens when you put a camera on "Auto", which means the camera selects the exposure, and light levels. This is why you hire a professional for your wedding! If you don't, this is what your wedding photos will look like (minus the Doberman Pinscher of course). I even color corrected this image, the original looked much worse.
Thursday
You're so fired!
These are my two "guard dogs", and I use that term loosely. I don't know what I pay them for. Maddison, the one on the left has an attitude problem. I tell her to go outside to go to the bathroom, and she lays there with this "thanks, but no thanks" look on her face. Little punk. Marcus, on the right, is just a big goof ball. These are our babies. Allot of our clients ask to meet them so they have made allot of friends over the years.
Tuesday
Stock scams
I have been getting endless emails from people trying to scam me with these new "Stock scams". They send these emails trying to get people to buy stocks that they own, which in turns drives up the price of the stock, then they sell their shares for a profit. But what kills me is that they are so stinkin' dishonest about it. They send me emails that say things like "Betty...I hope this is your email address, you need to buy this stock, I just got an inside scoop on it, keep it a secret" right......."Betty" has the email address brad@bradwaltersphoto.com right? give me a friggin break. How do these people sleep? How do these people find me? what is the best way to inflict pain on these......nevermind. I really wish people were not like that. I get 5-10 of these emails per day. "sigh"
Monday
It's a brand new shiny baby!!!
My younger sister had her baby! Yeah! go Rachel.......and Ella. Rachel lives in Arizona with her husband Michael. I can't wait to meet my new niece. There is nothing more important on this planet than family! This photo is of Rachel's life long friend Gina holding Ella. Ella had both sets of grandparents there for the birth. I think that's awesome in today's society. Congratulations Rachel and Michael.

Kentucky Update
Jon Woods and I shot the wedding of Kim and Ali yesterday (sunday) in Lexington. I haven't had a chance to proof the images so I don't have any images to show yet, but I wanted to show this shot of Jon and I driving to Lexington. This is the interior of Jon's truck. Jon's on the left, I'm on the right. Jon and I flipped when we saw it. I had to borrow his crazy wide angle lens to get the shot. We used Jon's truck to power my stobes (lights) for the family portraits outside. Almost killed his truck. More images of Kim and Ali's wedding coming soon.....maybe today. I miss you Sarah.

Out of town this weekend
Hey all,
I have to go to Lexington Kentucky this weekend for an emergency wedding (long story). If anyone needs me please call my cell phone at 850-712-7125. This is pretty much the only way to contact me this weekend as I have no idea if I'll have web access, but I will answer my phone. *Sigh*....38 degrees in Lexington right now. Wonderful.
Michelle Otto
The WPJA private forum has a post this morning about a fellow WPJA photographer being killed in a car accident while driving home from a wedding this past Saturday. Michelle was an award winning member of the WPJA and a talented photographer. Her obituary even mentions her photography and her photojournalistic style which tells me someone close to her knew how important her photography was to her. Her work was inspiring to say the least. Truly sad.

Email from Brooke
I just got this email from Brooke, Thanks Brooke!
Brad,
My mamma and daddy looked at the pictures with me one by one over the
phone. You should have heard my mom, every-other picture was one of her
favorites ( if a picture wasn't her favorite it was because I was
making an odd face:). I absolutely love every single picture!! I
can't wait to take some more!!
Thank you for everything,
Brooke
RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS
Here is part of an email Jenn (a future client hopefully) just sent me. Jenn, I don't know you but I love you :)
JENN WROTE:
To be honest, I've been looking around a bit on the web at your photography, comments you've made (in your own blog and those for the WPJA), etc. - I'm impressed by both your talent and your sentiment and mindset about photography.
